WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES

Here you will find several attractive workshops and lectures that are organized at the meeting room of Adirama Beach Hotel. You can enter these workshops and lectures either by sending us an e-mail or, during your stay at Adirama, at the front desk of the hotel.

Most of the workshops and lectures are held on request however a minimum of five (5) attendants is required.

Sometimes it is possible to choose an alternative language (Dutch) in which the lecture or workshop will be held. Choice of language is only applicable for non-mixed language groups.

 

 

Workshop: Balinese Painting

Discover the artist within you during our creative painting workshops. The workshops are led by the prominent North Balinese painters Made Ariana and Komang Suaka.

Painting material is included in the price.

During the workshop you will learn how to paint in an intuitive manner.

Anik Subaryani is a professional Balinese Dance teacher and entertainment manager of hotel Adirama. This interesting lecture explains the background of the different types of Balinese dance and the importance of mimics, body postures and connections with the invisible world.

Lecture: Experiences with the Magic of Bali

During this lecture Robbie Nescio gives an account of his experiences with Balians (the sjamans of Bali), the appearance of power objects and different forms of black magic. Already at his first encounter with a balian, Robbie thought that - at least to himself - it was important to document what he saw and experienced. He asked and got permission to take pictures and to write down what he experienced during his sessions with balians.
