Experience the unique Culture and Nature of Bali

Walking in solitude over small dikes of green rice paddies, climbing to the top of brown-grey volcanoes, trekking through dense rainforest, boating on soft-blue mountain lakes, rafting on the white fumed water of rivers, riding on the back of horses or even elephants?

Or visiting out-of-the-way, mystical temples, witnessing ceremonies at Balinese house compounds, walking along in Hindu processions, listening to gamelan, watching wayang kulit, temple dance or topeng drama.....

Whatever your prefer, it's all possible on the island of Bali. Adirama Beach Hotel can arrange a range of private excursions and day trips for you, throughout Bali. Our hotel is centrally located at the north coast of Bali, within easy reach of Bali's cultural and natural highlights.

Ceremonies

Bali is often referred to as the Island of the gods, or the Island of the ten thousand temples. Whenever you come to Bali, there will always be one or more ceremonies close to where you stay. Full moon and New Moon ceremonies, Odalans or temple festivals, one of the many island wide colorful Hindu religious holidays like Galungan, Kuningan, Nyepi, Pagerwesi and Saraswati Day or one of those ever unexpected family ceremonies, such as a 3-month ceremony for babies, a wedding, tooth filing, or a spectacular funeral ceremony.

Tourists are always welcome to attend these ceremonies - even family ceremonies, provided that they respect the behavior- and clothing protocol.

You can ask the reception of Adirama Beach Hotel when ceremonies will be held in the Lovina area during the time of your stay with us.

Waterfalls in the Jungle

North Bali has many amazing water falls, among others near Lemukih in the Sawan area (near Singaraja), at Git-Git, Selat, Les and Sing-Sing, to mention a few.

Some of these waterfalls can easily be reached by car, others are more secluded and can only be reached over small tracks through the jungle passing rice paddies and plantations on your way.

Adirama can arrange a range of trips and exclusive jungle trekking tours during which you will visit spectacular waterfalls.

Feel the wind on your skin, absorb the many shades of green and be one with North Bali's nature.

Mountain Lakes

In the mountains of North Bali not far from Lovina you will find some great mountain lakes. There are the twin lakes Buyan and Tambligan surrounded by ancient rain forest, the lake Beratan with its beautiful water temple Ulun Danu and lake Batur in the area of Kintamani where the 'original' people of Bali live, the 'Bali Aga' or mountain Balinese, at only 45 minutes by car from Adirama Beach Hotel.

Go boating on Beratan, do some trekking in Tambligan's surrounding rain forests or cross lake Batur to visit the secluded Bali Aga village of Trunyan.

The market town of Singaraja with its old colonial buildings certainly is worth a visit.

A treat for children and a blessing for adults!
